The Accident to the Czar.
The latest version of 'the accident to the Czar on December 17, while returning from a ! shbdfirig ; 'excursion to Balyina Palace, m Austria, is to the , ■ effect that lie was accompanied by his suite m eight sledges, with a number, of servants. A. bullet lodged m the Czar's shoulder, but it was not a dangerous wound; -The Czar's followers 1 immediately mounted the sledge horses . and followed the assassins who, howeyer, escaped to . a neighboring wood. Owing to the depth of the snow the pursuit was fruitless. One of the ; pursuing offi cers ventured too far and did not return. The Telegiaph thinks the attack was an attempt to execute the sentence of death recently passed '. onithe Czar by the Nihilists. 7
