Resolved that the application be considered when a vacancy occurs. — From E. Keeble,, applying for appointment to Palnj.urstou as pupil teacher. . Agreed io. — From Eva Campion, to be appointed, pupil teacher at Halcombe. .Resolved that she bet appointed.. — From the Feilding Committee, enclosing resignation of Miss Pyke as cadet . on — account of ill-health, and recommending Miss Dimund, to fill the .vacancy. Recouimendation agreed to. — From same committee, enclosing letter from Miss Goodison;, pupil teacher, for removal, and endorsing the application; referred back- to committee. — Prom Mr Brady' and Albert Jackson, applying for the vacancy at Manchester., .Jtesolved that both applications" be forwarded, with a recom-r mendation m favor of Mr Brady, informing the committee that Mr Jackson must go up tor preliminary examination. — From Bulls, applying /fdr appointment of Miss Thonipsoni'as pupil teacher* Left' m abeyance pend^ing next quarterlyretums. ot. .:■ -Feilding. ! ■J; The Board's architects : submitted 'theiy report upon the present condition of the Feilding school', plans foivaltera■tiows Wild additions, and estimates of the proposed expenditure.— Mr Sauson I moved that the report ; be adopted, and tenders called for cariying out the plan*, as the work was urgently needed; au.d Feilding bad been worse treated by the Board than any other township i f h the district.— Mr Siieisou seconded the motion.— After a long discussion^ the motion was carrietl unanimously. r L ._,, Palmeraton. Application from the Committee for the ercct'on of a caretaker's residence ; f6r increased accommodation m the Pal merston school ; and foi the vent-i mg 1 ' of Deards' hall, at £18 a year, for .a school at Terrace End.~r-Re6olved, on tho motion of Mr Sneison, seconded by Mr Ross, That the renting of the hall be. agreed, to, and that, m tho event of the Teriace End school not maintaining an working average oijfortyjit ba closed ai the end of twelve months, and that Mrs Harvey be appointed teacher. — The other matters applied for by the Committee were not entertained, v Board Elections. The following gentlemen were nominated by the School Committees for the three vacant scats on ihe'Board and consented to the nominations : — Gr. S; Bridge, G. V. Bate, J. H. Fry, Johii Greenwood, D. Gr. Poison, H. Sar| geant, and W. H. Wait. — Re.'iolvedj That the Committees send m their voting papers by the 22nd March. j - Upper Taonui. \ On the motion of Mr San&on, it wa^ resolved to call for tenders for a new school at Upper Taonui to acconimo T date 60 children, the same to be dealt wu)h by the Building Committee a3 soon as the site is conveyed, the cost of the building not to exceed £150.
