TAONUI.
(FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Taonui, Febmary 26. The Bunnythorpe School Committee met last evening, in reference to the election of the three members to serve on the Education Board. Messrs W. L. Bailey (chairman), W. Bailey, J. Brady, D. Parks, J. Picard, and E. Sexton were present. Circulars were received from five candidates ; it was resolved to support Messrs J. H. Fry and G. S. Bridge. I may here remark a very singular style of nomenclature is adopted by the Education Board, e.g., Manchester school is at Bunnythorpe, Bunnythorpe school is at Taonui, and Taonui school is on the Rangitikei Line. How symmetrical ! This very amusing combination causes endless confusion and delay in the delivery of covrespondence. In the present instance, papers expected to be in the possession of the Chairman, were not to hand.
