Londov, June 16. ' In the House of Lords to-day, the Earl of Kimberley was questioned regarding the progress which had been made m connection with the negotiations for holding the projected conference on Egyptian af-; fairs. In reply, Lord Kimberley stated that an agreement had been come to. with the French Government as to the basis upon which the proceedings of the conference should take place, and that the matter had been submitted for the consideration of other European Powers, : Admiral Sir William Hewett, commanding the East Indian squadron, has arrived at Aden from Abyssinia. ■ .. !
