Auckland, June 20. The first case of a series to be instituted on^ behalf the natives ' whose horses were seized at Ptikekura by the sheriff, under a writ of the Supreme Court, was heard at the resident Magistrate's Court, Cambridge. After hearing the evidence, the Magistrate gave judgment for the plaintiff, the horse lo be returned ; the defendant to pay £33 damages and £23 costs. The decision caused considerable uneasiness, as a large number of horses were bought at the same sale.
