It is further rumoured that when Sir Julius Vogel's par tizjins discovered who the person was who had been m communication with him, they found it advisable to seek to make out that it was an influential country settler of the same name who was the parly meant, as it might damage the candidate's political chances to have v said that he had been brought out under certain auspices, you know, — I am, &c., An Elector.
