The following is the current market rates: Bran, scarce, £4 10s to £4 15s ; Canterbury bacon, 8£ to 9d : fresh butter, m demand, Is Id to Is 2d ; salt, nominal. 8d ; fowls' barley, 2s 6d to 2s 9d • beans, 3s 9d to 4s ; cheese, plentiful, sd ; oaten chaff, £4 10s ; flour, £10 to £10 10s ; grass seed (rye), 3s ?d; do cocksfoot. 4£d ; hams, IQd to 10£ d; maize, 4s 9d to 4s lOd ; feed oats, 2s 44 to 2s 6d ; oatmeal, £12 10b ; onions, £8 to £« 10s; pollard* £5 10s; potatoes, 66s to 60s ; peas, 3s 9d ; fowls' wheat, 2a to 3s 3d. Fruit supplies have been very light. Eggs, Is 4d to Is sd ; fowls; 3s 9d; geese, 6s; turkeys, 9s; ducks, 4s.
