Potatoes have come forward pretty freely but not m sufficient quantities to affect the markut ; parly flukes, m demand at about LS per ton. As anticipated, onions am selling at advanced prioes, but "which; baiely compensate for m» creased price at shipping ports, and i immense trouble of obtaining sup-. plie,s. .Pollard and bran are scarce, and prices must advance shortly. Prime butter, about 8d to B Jd; limited outlet for Sydney market. No poultry or fresh, eggs have come m; they are asked tor. The fruit market . is no\y quite bare. A. trial shipment .of 'beef and mutton sold on Monday at 2£d per 1b for the. former and 2d for the latter, but as it was .shipped for sale on Friday, it laboured under the disadvantage of being many days on board the steamer, and was far frpin tresh.
