Make 1, 2, 3, or 4 single strokes, indicating; the number of the Ward m which the fire is. Pause again ior a few seconds, and afterwards ring the bell again; and so alternately. , The meeting places for the Brigade, m case of false alarm, are as under : — No. 1 Ward— The State School. No. 2 Ward — Richter, Nannestad, & Oo.'s Saw Mill. No. 3 Ward — Gillett Bros.' Buildings m the Square. No. 4 Ward — Old Palmerston Hotel.
