Disastrous Fire m Melbourne
Thea.s.Tui, will leavo Foxton for Wellington on Thursday at 2 p.m. The sea at the Wanganui Heads since I Sunday was the heaviest kuown for many years. Mr F. B. Jackson has disposed of the ! Hawera branch of his auctioneering business to Messis Nqjan, Tonks, and Co., of that place.
("Special to the Standard.) [BY CABLE]; Melbourne, This Day. A disastrous fire took place last night at Kitrherand Sons store at Sandridge resulting m the destruction of the building and contents which consisted chiefly of cotton. The damage is estimated at £3000.
