AFTER the present month, our Collector will, call EVERY FOURTH MONDAY on all Town Subscribers for the amount cf their subscriptions lo the Manawatu Standabd. He will make his first round on Monday, 4th of August, when a settlement of all. arrears of subscriptions till date is particularly requested. This new arrangement is made at the special request of a considorable number of town subscribers, who prefer to make their payments monthly to letting them run for ] longer periods, believing m the principle that short accounts are l>esl, and are most easily met. Weekly and fortnightly subscribers will also be taken on, and their amounts called for m accordance with the special arrangements they make. It is believed that this system will prove more satisfactory, m all respects, both to our subscribers and ourselves, than having the accounts standing over tor periods varying ftora 6 to 18 months, when difficulty is often experienced m collecting them, and mutual dissatisfaction ensues.
