The Household.

Once upon a time— and the storyis quite true — a certain Victorian Justice of the Peace rode from Bunga to Arafat. The day was blazing hot, and what might be appropriately called a "simoon? was m full bloom. The Justice descended from his saddle m front of the Golden Age Hotel, and tied up his horse to a post on the edge of the pavement. The t>*ner <>f the animal entered the hotel*, where he met several friends, with whom he spent several hours m pleasant conversation and the consumption of an extraordinary quantity of whisky.
