Attempted Suicide.
' (U»IxiBD,PBEBB; ASSfCIATION.") Chuistghurch, August 26. A labourer named Henry Scott attempted suicide this morning under the following 'circumstances : — He had teen summqiied for faflmg to provide for h|s children, "tind, as he neglected to appear at the Resident Mag% trate's Courts a wwaht was issued for his arrest. Detective O'Connor was entrusted with . the execution^ of it, and when Scott saw him coming about ].2 o'clock he cut his throat with. a razor. The wound was very tlanKerous, andthe wk4at once removed' to flje hospital.
