Mabton, August 30. Messrs Beckett, Hammond & Dick report : — Our stock sale at the Club Yards yesterday was exceedingly well attended, Manawatu, Wanganui, and Taranaki being all represented. Guttle were not much m demand, the quality was not good, and buyers were unwilling to support the late rise, most of the pens were passed m. We however, succeeded m placting all but two small pens after the sale at fair value. Sheep were keenly competed for, and at good value. About 200 head cattle and 650 sheep made up the sale. We. quote : — Yearlings, £1 to £1 2s- 6d ; 2-year heifers, £2 ; 2-year steers, £2 10s to £2 13s ; cows, &i Be hoggets, 6s 8d ; wethers (forward), 11s lid to 12s.
