{UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Napiee, This Day. An inquest wan held on the body of a man washed up on j,he beach on Sunday. The body was recognised as that of Edward Perry, a sailor who was drowned on the night of the 12th Snst. A verdict of found drowned was returned. . Wellington, This Day. A meeting of the New Zealand -Eifle Association was held last night, a resolution was carried to the effect that the secretary of the association shall be an active volunteer and shall be paid .£5.0 and must pay his own expenses excepting passage money and must be a resident of Wellington. A large executive committee was appoiuted to amalgamate, with the council m controlling the affaire of the association.
