Sir William Wallace, bred by William Anderson, Esq., Kirkmieliael, Ayrshire, out of Brisk, by Garibaldi. As a yearling took first prize at Maybole, Kirkmichael, and Glasgow, and second at Ayr. As a two-year-old, second at Ayr and Glasgow, and also second at the Highland Society's Show held that yeai* at Edinburgh ; and when only three days landed m Otago took second prize against horses ot all ages at the Taieri, although only 2| years old.
