Curious Will Case.
-A curious will case came before the Supreme Court Auckland the other dayl In August last Herbert, who had been an inmate of the Lunatic Asylum, died m that establishment, hut four days before his d^ath he made a will m favour of his daughter. It trunspiied that Beibert and his reputed wife had lived -.together as man und' wife "for thirty years, and she' had always been recognised by Herbert and the public a* his wife, although they hud never been- legally married. Herbert had no relations m New Z alaud besides his reputed wile and her daughter, but of course they could not legally inherit his property unless by will. Prom evidence, however, it appeared that for about a month prior to his death Herbert had recovered his sanity, and was quite conscious of his acts and the result of them. After hearing the evidence, which was quite conclusive on this head, His Honor grauted probate m the will.
