Telegrams have been received from 1 the Mudir of Uongola, with details of the treacherous massacre of Colonel Stewart's party by Arabs at Wad El Homar. The Mudir states that the whole party were not killed and that the lives of fourteen of them were spared by the Arabs who hold them prisoners. General Lord Wolseley has ordered the Mudir 1 s troops at Merawi, a town 30 miles below the fourth cataract on the Nile, to rescue or ransom the prisoners. *
