THE BANKRUPTCY ACT.

We have been requested to publish Section 78 Bankruptcy Act 1884 which reads as follows: — Every conveyance of transfer of property or charge thereon made, every payment made, every obligation incurred, and every judicial proceeding taken orsuffered, whether the act be voluntary or under pressure from a creditor by any person unable to pay his debts as they become due, from his own moneys m favor of any creditor or any person m trust for any creditors, shall, if the persom making, taking, paying, or suffering the same, be adjudicated a bankrupt under this act, within three months after the date of making, taking, paying, or suffering the same, be deemed fraudulent and void as against the assignee. But this section shall not affect the rights of a purchaser, payee, or incumberancer, m good faith and for valuable consideration;'
