EPIDEMIC AT PARIHAKA.

(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, Oct. 23. The Government have received from Dr O'Carroll, of New Plymouth, who has visited Parihaka, a report showing the pah there to be in a terrible state of filth. There are sixty-five cases of cellular erysipelas there, and seven deaths have occurred from the disease. Tohu and Te Whiti desired the doctor to thank the Native Minister for sending him to attend the natives. The Native Minister has authorised a supply of medicine and medical comforts for the patients.
