Narrow Escape of the Hawea.
(ONITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) , Wellington, This Day. On her voyage from Lyttelton . the Httwea had a very narrow escape of going on the rock^ at inclair'sHead. Siie was goiug de^d slow, there being a heavy fog, and was carried out of her course; The lead showed 90 fathoms and a few, minutes latqr 17 fathoms, and the rocks were close to. Going full speed astern ju.st saved her.
