BARNS & HIGGIE'S REPORT.
We have to report holding a very successful sale at our yards at Campbeutown on Wednesday, 3rd December. There was a numerous attendance, and a largo number of cattle (some 340 head) came forward and were all sold except two pens of beef. We are glad to note an improvement m values" of store cattle of all kinds, and lor good steers m particular. Beef is perhaps a little easier ; muti ton remains as at late quotations, and pigs continue to command good prices, some BO or 90 being sold under the hammer, and were well competed for: — Cattle.— Fat cows, £3 10s, £4 13s, £5 Is, and .£5 ss; "3 and 4-year-old steers, £4 14s to £4 18s 6d ; 2 to 3-year steers, £2 16s to .£3 12s; yearling. steers, 82s; yearling heifers, 245 ; Ito 2-year heifers, 275 ; weaners, 20s. Sheep.— Fat ewes, 8s 4d, 8s Bd, and 9s 3d. Pigs.— Small store, 14s lid; good por. leers, 335 ; fat pigs, £2 ss. Horses. — As usital very dull.
