(united press association.) Auckland, Dec. 21. Hudson Williams, Crown prosecutor, conducted a series of prosecutions at Corotnandel under the Corrupt Practices Prevention Act, 1881, against various persons for breaches of the Act. One Durass is charged with aiding and abetting personation. He was committed for trial. Dunedis, Dec. 21. Under instructions from the ViceAdmiralty Court, the barque Lota, lying at Oamaru, has been sold to the Union Steamship Comoany £1050.
