[age special.] (united pbkss association.) liONDO*, April 8. Mr Murray-Smith,actingnponinstruct-ions received from Victoria, has ordered a number of Whitehead torpedoes. Prince Bismarck lifts issued an order forbidding; German manufacturers to supply torpedoes to any foreign power. The Victorian four million pounds four per cent redemption loan is to be placed upon the London market very shortly. April 9. Th« report that Earl Roseberry was about to visit Berlin with the object of concluding an agreement with tho German Government on the subject of an* nexntion m the Pacific and m Africa, is declared to be premature.
