We understand that the Eev C. Gaustad will shortly call a meeting at Norsewood to consider some important matters relating to the Lutheran Church. Mr Gaustad will probably also hold a meeting m Falmerston on the same subject, of which due notice will be given m this paper. Mr Edward Basting, of Fitzherbert, has drawn first prize, (section and cottage valued at i-450) m the Druids Annual Drawing which took place m Melbourne on Easter Monday. The win- ■ ning number was 59,126. This is the first year the principal prize came to New .Zealand. "''We congratulate the . lucky winner on his good fortune. Forced Handicap : Eingleader 1, Fay 2. Messrs Snelson and Co.'s great auction ' sale of drapery and grocery will be continued on Monday, and possibly on Wednesday if not completed on Tuesday. The sale will be without reserve.
