Bryce v. Rusden Case.
(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION. ) Wellington, April 29. Commissions hava been issued from the High Court m Chancery, m Ihe libel suit Bryce v. Rusden, appointing the Hon. Patrick Alphonsus Bucklny commissioner to represent plaintiff, and the Hon. Joseph A. Tole commissioner to represented defendant, m taking evidence m New Zealand relative to the action. The sitting of the commission will probably be held m Wanganui about the end of May to take evidence. In the meantime an application has been made to the Hon. theColonial Secretary to have exhumed the bodies of the Maori women and children who, it is alleged m Mr Riinden's history, were rnthlesslv sabred by the cavalry under Mr Bryce. The request hns been acceded to on conditions of all paTties agreeing to it. The Colonial Secretary's stipulation is that the examination shall be conducted m the presence of medical men nominated by him. The whole of the parties concerned have agreed to thiß.
