ANOTHER ACCOUNT OF GORDON'S DEATH.
A native states that Gordon was at the palace when the enemy were treacher ously admitted into the city. A body of the enemy at once made their way to the palace, whither they were gui led by a man who hud upon several occasions been employed by Gordon an a messenger to .carry^communications to and. from. the Mahdi. Tiie i enemy apparently intended to take Gordon alive, but hearing them approaching he rushed outside the house with -his revolver m his hantt. ' He was at one attacked by the rebels, against whorit hejdefgnded- hiui»elf until his revolver wii emptied:; and was then killed.
