TURF BEDS IN RUSSIA.
The itnmence wealth which Russia possesses m turf beds is but little appreciated. Its exploitation is ouly developed m a few provinces, and by^sotne of the railway companies turi is used as a combustible. Considering, however, that beds of turf exist m Russia, coveriug 70,000 square miles, which would furnish fufticitnt material to provide all Husfia with light material for lO'OOO years, this neglect seems, indeed, to be hiding their light under a bushel.— Christian Milhon.
