A land corporation of Western Australia, with a capital of £100,000, has been registered. It is expected that the South Australian Government will be obliged to reduce the telegraphic charges on the Port, I Darwin line by la to the public, and Press messages by 4d. The companies interested fear that the reduced rate will cause a reduction m their income of one fourth. The Avheat market is languid, and owners arc -toring, awaiting better times. Latest quotations are— Ex warehouse, 35s 6d ; ex ship, 35s ; latest off coast cargoes, 34s ; forward slupments are unsaleable. The weather is very stormy.
