NEWS OF A SHOCKING TRAGEDY.
ALL THE MEMBERS OF AN EXPLORING EXPEDITION MURDERED.
(by electric telegraph.— copyright.) (ruiteb's telegrams.) Cooktown, Monday. The a.s. Gunga arrived to-day from Thursday Island. The captain states that when ha left, two Papuan Natives had arrived from New Guinea with a report that all the members of the ex ploring expedition sent out by the . Geographical Society of New South Wales, had been attacked and murdered by the Natives of the Fly River district of New Guinea.
