At the conclusion of the amateur performance repeated last evemng m aid 6t the Fire Brigade fundfc the members met togetlier and presented the Treasurer, Mir E. Johnston, who is leaving the district, with a small tribute d£ tlieir respect and appreciation of services rendered the' Club since its inauguration Thefollowaddress prepared and handsomely illuminated by Mr Geo v llawkins was read and suitably acknowledged by Mr Johnston :—'■'■ . In the capacity of Chairman of Committee of Management, Treasurer; and member of Committee,, you have ever acted faithfully, courteously, and honestly, aad voiir talent and ability as. an acting member has been a credit to, our Society. Indeed m the latter capacity -your : place will be hard to fill.
