(BY TELEGRAPH.) f Special to the Standard.) Wellington, Monday. ,r The Tafaroa inquiry was resumed this morning. Later. McQuarters was the only'new witness examined nt the Taiaroa inquiry. Capt. Thomson re-examined corrected a former statement as to the deviation of compasss which was westerly and not easterly. Tim inquiry wad adjourned til Monday when Grant and Button are expected to be m attendance.
