RECEPTION AT AUCKLAND. SIR HENRY BRETT’S SERVICES. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Dec. 4. At a reception at Government House last night, the Governor-General presented to Sir Henry Brett Letters Patent of Knighthood in connection with the honour of Knight Bachelor conferred on him by the King, on January 1, in recognition of his valuable public services covering a period of over 50 years. His Excellency also presented Major Alfred Thomas Daw, of tho Colonial Auxiliary Forces, with the officer’s decoration for long and meritorious service with the military forces.
