SAFETY IN THE AIR.
PLANS BY AN INVENTOR. Received December 6, 9.55 a.in. PARIS, Dec. 5. The inventor Robert, who since 1898 has been working on aeronautical development, is planning a giant lifebuoy parachute with a carrying surface of 500 square metres capable of supporting an entire aeroplane. It would be attached to the fus«l,ige with metal guards as a precaution against fire, but passengers would also be provided with parachutes.—A. and NZ. cable.
