UNIQUE WILL.

WRITTEN ON EGG-SHELL. LONDON, Nov. 24. The famous eggshell on which a sailor, John Barnes, had written his will, leaving his wife everything ho possessed, reposed in cotton-wool on the Probate Court judge’s de6k to-day during the hearing of an application concerning tho estafe. Counsel urged that ihe eggshell came within the exceptions under the Wills Acts, because Barnes was at sea when he made the will leaving £5500. He frequently took eggs to cook and eat while on duty, and once asked an officer on board ship li ho knew how io blow »n egg. A will which he made in 1920 did not give the wife a legacy to the extent her husband had promised, but the wife later found the egg on top of the wardrobe. Probate was refused.
