VALUABLE COLLECTION.
INSECTS FOR DOMINION MUSEUM. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Dec. 5. It is announced that the valuable collection of insects resulting from the lifetime hobby of the late Mr C. C. Fenwick, of Anderson’s Bay, is to be presented to the Dominion Museum m Wellington, where it can be suitably housed. The collection, which is estimated to contain quite 4000 separate specimens, possesses a peculiar scientific value from the fact that it has been gathered, for the most part, in Otago and Southland, and represents phases of insect life characteristic of these parts. The Fenwick collection, as it will be known, should constitute a valuable addition to the entomological exhibits in the Dominion Museum.
