ALLEGED THEFT.

SEAMAN REMANDED. Described as a seaman, Michael Joseph O’Grady, 19 years of age, appeared betore Mr J. L. Stout, S.M., at the Magistrate’s Court this morning charged that, on or about December 1 at Bulls, he did steal £2O in money, the property of J. B. Gaisford.

On the application of Senior-Detec-tive Quirke, accused was remanded until. Monday next, bail being allowed in self £2OO, with two sureties of £IOO each. ANOTHER YOUNG MAN CHARGED

Gordon Scambary, labourer, 17 years of age, appeared on a charge that, on or about November 18 at Palmerston North, he did commit the theft of a suitcase and contents, of a total value of £ls, the property of James McLinden.

Accused was remanded to appear on Friday, bail not being asked for.
