HARD-FOUGHT GAME.
MDLLE. LENGLEN INDISPOS'ED. REELS OFF TENNIS COURT. Received December 6, 9.20 a.m. NEW YORK, Dec. 5. At Portland (Oregon) Mdlle. Suzanne Lenglen; after being forced to 20 games before defeating Miss Mary K. Browne by 11—9 in the first set of an exhibition match to-night, reeled off the court and announced that she was suffering from a bad cold and was unable to continue. The match is considered Suzanne Lenglen’s hardest-fought in the present tour and the longest since she won the championship.—A. and N.Z. cable.
