CAPSIZE AT CORNER.
CAR CRASHES INTO FENCE. A FORTUNATE ESCAPE. TE AROHA, Dec. 4. A motor smash took place late last evening at the railway crossing at Fitzgerald’s corner, near Manga iti, on the Te Aroha-Paeroa road. A five-seater car driven by Mr Johnson was proceeding along the road at a moderate pace, when suddenly the corner came into view. The driver endeavoured to negotiate it by swinging round, but the car capsized, landing against a fence. One of the occupants was pined beneath, while the others jumped clear. The car was considerably damaged. ' Medical aid was summoned and the imprisoned occupant was removed to his home at Paeroa by ambulance, little the worse for his experience.
