ACCIDENT WHILE SHOOTING.

GUNSHOT WOUNDS SUSTAINED. A lad named Eric Pratt, son of Mr E. Pratt, of Longburn, was admitted to the Palmerston North Hospital last night suffering from gunshot wounds to a foot. The injuries, which- are naturally painful, are not considered serious.

It appears that the boy was cut rabbit shooting at Rangiotu yesterday when he accidentally pulled the trigger of the shot gun, which was pointing towards his feet. To obtain assistance the unfortunate lad, who was alone at the time, had to ride a considerable distanco on horseback.
