AMERICAN SCANDAL.

REVELATIONS AT TRIAL. Received Decembor 7, 9.20 a.m. WASHINGTON, Doc. 6. Seeking, to minimise the 1921 war scare used to support the Fall and Dolieny conspiracy defence, Mr Owen Roberts, tho Government counsel, in cross-examining Admiral Robinson, extracted the admission that during tlie negotiations for the Pearl Harbour and Elk Hills contracts the Washington Arms Conference was signing the Limitation Pact and drawing up the Pacific peace accord. Admiral Robinson also admitted that the Pearl Harbour tanks, which Doheny was to construct “for patriotic reasons,” could not have been completed before 1924.

It also transpired that Dolieny was the only citizen asked to make a bid. The Secretary for tho Navy, Mr Wilbur, is expected to testify shortly. —A. and N.Z. cable.
