In giving judgment for £93 2s and costs against a motor car driver who dimmed the headlights when passing a motor bus and knocked down a pedestrian, who claimed £124 for injuries sustained, the magistrate, Mr McKean, said that if a driver dimmed the headlights and proceeded along the highway when unable to see whether the path was clear he could riot 6av he was keeping a careful lookout. The practice of dimming headlights might bo driving courtesy, but it was a dangerous one that might be followed by disastrous results.
