YALLOURN STRIKE.
EFFORTS FOR SETTLEMENT. PROVE UNSUCCESSFUL. Received December 8, 10.5 a.m. MELBOURNE, Dec. 8. The conference of the Trades Hall disputes committee and electricity commissioners failed to find a solution to the dispute existing at Yallourn. The proposals for settlement submitted to the conference are to receive further consideration. It is hoped that negotiations will be resumed and a basis for a settlement found.—Press Association.
