JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL.
WORK OF THE SCHOLARS
[By Telegraph.—Special to Standard.] AUCKLAND, ' Dec. 8.
Junior High Schools are much discussed in these days, but, judging by the variety and originality displayed at the exhibition of the work done by the scholars of the Kowhai Junior High School, they are receiving profitable tuition.
An interesting exhibit was a metal wheelbarrow, the work of a young lad who had even cast the •wheel.' The diversity of the articles made from empty benzine tins was almost incredible and was proof of the ingenuity of the youthful workmen. Another interesting exhibit was a farm periodical, a small monthly paper run off on a duplicator, replete with original articles, crossword puzzles and a correspondence column and even the übiquitous advertisement.
