SLIGHTLY BETTER TO-DAY. (By Telegraph. —Special to Standard.) WELLINGTON, Sept 10. Sir Joseph Ward, who is confined to his room with an attack of influenza, was sliglitlv better this morning. Hon. T. M. Wilford will act as Leader ot the House till iho Prime Minister recovers.
