PRIME MINISTER.
ATTACK OF INFLUENZA. WELLINGTON, Sett. 10. The Prime Minister (Sir Joseph Ward) is confined to bed with an attack of mild influenza. Although he was reported yesterday to be very much better, it is unlikely that he will resume his place in the House until to-morrow. If Sir Joseph is absent from the House to-dav the leadership will devolve on the‘'Minister of Defence (Hon. T. M. Wilford) as the deputy-leader, the Minister of Lands (Hon. G. W. Forbes) will not return to Wellington from the south until to-morrow.
