BENEFITS TO TOURISTS
CURRENCY DEPRECIATION. EXPERIENCE IN TURKEY. (By Telegraph—Special to Standard.) AUCKLAND, Sept. 9. The benefits gained by tourists from the depreciation of cflrrency m poverty-stricken States such as modern Greece were instanced in a lecture delivered by Rev. D. C. Herron, who visited Greece and Turkey during his recent overseas tour. Not until the end of his stay in Greece did Mr Herron decide to visit Turkey, and this was simply because the low cost of living in Greece enabled him to save more than enough to pay the expenses of a short stay in Turkey.
