ATTEMPT AT ASSASSINATION,
(United Service.) Received September 11, 11.50 a.m. SHANGHAI, Sept. 10. General Chiang Kai-shek’s failure to attend a reception on Monday is taken as confirmation of the reports that another attempt was made to assassinate him on August 9, when, it is stated, he was actually wounded in a hand. Details, however, are not available. Further members of his body guard have been executed.
