CHURCH CONCERT.
AN EXCELLENT PROGRAMME. In aid of funds for St. David’s Church, Terrace End, an excellent con : cert was presented in the Coronation Hall last evening to an appreciative audience. The programme was arranged by Mr P. T. Henderson, the various items being as follow:—Part song, “Laughing,” Orpheus Society under Mr T. P. Henderson; humorous recitation, Miss D.- Saunders; song, “Waiata Poi,” Mrs H. A. Dean; flute solo, Mr M. Wilson; monologue, “Wu Chang,” Mr J. W. Davidson; song, “Cornin’ Tliroj the Rye,” Mrs F. McLaclilan; violin solo, “Londonderry Air,” Miss F. Howley; quartette (Messrs Buglass, Henderson, Teppett and Brydon), “Last Night” ; conjuring demonstration, Mr F. H. R. Grace; part song, “Watchman, What of the Niglit,” Orpheus Society; song, “O Sole Mio,” Mr C. F. Cronin; monologue, Miss D. Saunders; zylophone solo, “Old Comrades’ March,” Mr C. Boll; part song, “The Anvil,” Orpheus Society; song, “The Wolf,” Mr E. Gill. In addition, several encores .were responded to. The accompanists were Miss Z. E. Browning and Messrs C. W. Teppett, F. McLachlan and P. T. Henderson. In the absence of Rev. Mr Bredin, who is indisposed through having contracted a severe cold, Mr A. C. Allen thanked the performers for having so generously given their assistance, and also Mr Henderson for his capable arrangement of the programme.
