SINGLE WOMAN’S DEATH
Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Sept. 12. Lily Wall, a single woman aged 28, who had been employed as a nurse at the Auckland Mental Hospital and latterly had acted as a cook, died on Tuesday. When a search of her effects was made the body of a newlyborn child was found. Miss AVall had been in good health up to August 14 last, when she complained of influenza and was treated by a medical man. She later complained of palpitation of the heart and on Tuesday took a sudden turn for the worse sand died in two hours. Arrangements had been made for the funeral to take place this morning, but a post-mortem examination was ordered and the funeral was postponed until this afternoon. The mourners included twelve nurses, in uniform, from the Mental Hospital. The inquest on Miss Wall was opened and adjourned after evidence of identification had been heard.
